OCEPS How Children Learn [and adults!]

Children learn in different ways - some need to hear [Auditory] things; some need to see [Visual] things and some need to use movement [Kinaesthetic] find out which suits each of your children, adapt work to incorporate their styles of learning and you are on the way to positive, enriched and dynamic teaching....

Auditory Visual Kinaesthetic
listen to CD's use guided imagery pace/walk/move while at work
watch TV form pictures in the mind 'physically' do it
listen to Speakers take notes practice repeated motions
make up Rhyme / Poems see parts of words breathe slowly
repeat orally use cue cards use role play
use rhythmic sounds use notebooks exercise

say words in syllables use photos / graphics take notes
